Faith

From the time I was a little girl, I knew I was favored by God. I would pray, and if it was something I desired, I would take it to Him in prayer with all sincerity—and time after time, I watched Him bring those prayers to pass. Those early experiences taught me that God truly hears and responds to the cries of His children

From the time I was a little girl, I knew I was favored by God. I would pray, and if it was something I desired, I would take it to Him in prayer with all sincerity—and time after time, I watched Him bring those prayers to pass. Those early experiences taught me that God truly hears and responds to the cries of His children.

One of my favorite scriptures, 2 Corinthians 5:7, reminds us that “we walk by faith, not by sight.” That means our trust in God cannot be based only on what we see, feel, or understand in the moment. Faith is about slowing down, asking God for help and guidance, and then allowing Him to lead us—even when we don’t have the full picture.

I also hold close the promise in 1 John 5:14-15:

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”

What gives me peace is knowing that when I go before God as a born-again believer, He not only hears me, but He answers in alignment with His will. His will always reflects His character and His greater plan for my life—a plan that is ultimately better than anything I could design for myself.

So, walking by faith means trusting that God’s “yes,” “no,” or “wait” is rooted in His love for me. It means knowing that my prayers don’t fall on deaf ears, but on the heart of a loving Father who wants what is best.
